The Event
The Black Welsh Music Awards recognises excellence in music of Black origin, reflecting the vibrancy and diversity of this creative community in Wales. 400 invited guests made up of members of the MOBO community and Welsh music industry celebrities attended the inaugural event on Saturday 4th October 2025 at the Dora Stoutzker Hall, in the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
12 Awards were presented to over 40 nominees, including a Lifetime Achievement Award for Dame Shirley Bassey CH DBE.
Our Role...
Production 78 developed the script and produced the awards ceremony, and red carpet event in full for the BWMA committee.
Our event management and stage management team ensured a plethora of moving parts came together on the day were installed and removed, and ran smoothly for all involved.
Production 78, we could never thank you enough for the unbelievable production you turned around. Our entire community members are astounded by your work!!!! Thank you for all your hard work.
