The Event

The Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project to include two offshore wind farms which could consist of up to 75 turbines, generators and associated infrastructure, with an installed capacity of up to 900MW, located 37km from Lowestoft and 32km from Southwold. From landfall, the cables will be routed underground to an onshore substation which will in turn connect into the national electricity grid via a National Grid substation and cable sealing end compounds, the latter to be owned and operated by National Grid.

Our Role...

Production 78 delivered full service event management, AV and technical services required to hold a 6 month long series of public hearings by the UK Government's Planning Inspectorate.

This includes use of our touch to talk microphone system, temporary internet, large format projection and digital screens to display plans, venue liaison and planning of all the requirements of this process for our clients for virtual, hybrid and in-person hearings.

Production 78’s professionalism, experience and reactiveness assisted in a smooth transition from holding physical events to virtual only events during the Covid pandemic. They offered tailor made solutions to facilitate our events in an efficient, effective and inclusive way to meet the requirements of such events and allowed for successful participation of a number of individuals, from professional organisations, to members of the public.
