RWCMD Actors’ Showcase Event Data
Production 78 has produced this event for many years. We are therefore familiar with it’s format and the process required to put this together behind the scenes, which are fairly minimal due to the number of performers involved, and the restrictions of space on tour and on stage.
Highlights we experienced when gathering this data included:
Attendees – We are not actively involved in the invitation and ticketing of attendees at this event so we had to make some assumptions on the methods of travel for all of the guests. The audience in Cardiff are largely local and most travel by car or train. The London audience are largely agents based in Central London. They will not have used cars due to the central location of the Savoy Theatre and it is therefore assumed that most used public transport, and most likely the London Underground to attend this event.
Performers – We do have better knowledge of how and when the cast travel to and from London and also how the set, technical equipment and Production 78 staff travel.
Venues – We had detailed plans and layouts of the theatres in use, so this data is accurate.
