BIC Innovation

Date of Event
6 February 2025
Event Description
The Food & Drink Wales Scale Up Programme, funded by Welsh Government, helps food and drink manufacturers overcome the challenges to scale up. The Food & Drink Wales Scale Up Conference 2025: Navigating Risks, Building Resilience, centres on resilience and risk, with speakers and panellists delving into operational, financial, commercial, and supply chain challenges.
Production 78 Role
Production 78 provided AV Equipment, Stage and Event Management Staff and Technicians to install a complete event set design with sustainably printed backdrop on our reuseable Aluminium tension frame system and new LED lightboxes for the client.
Screen content and camerawork added to the guest experience at this event with pre-recorded speeches from some panellists being played into the room.
The event was installed and removed from Swansea's Waterfront Museum within 24hours.
This is the second conference that Production 78 have provided us with the sound, lighting and staging for - and once again I have been impressed!
They are thorough, professional and go over and above to make sure that your event is a success. I highly recommend them for your next event!

Food & Drink Scale Up Programme Event Data
This was a bespoke one-off event produced for a repeat client of Production 78. We made use of our re-useable Aluminium tension frame set which means that no materials were required in the production of this event. The Scale Up programme Backdrop was designed without a date on it and in the brand that will therefore be reusable at any future events this client has too.
Highlights we experienced when gathering this data included:
Attendees – This is one of the smallest number of attendees in this study and therefore gives the closest comparison between Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. This still shows how even such a small group of attendees can easily generate a large amount of Scope 3 emissions.
Venue – As a historic part of the National Waterfront Museum building this was a good example of how Scope 2 emissions could be improved with investment in better insulation to reduce the need for climate control through this event.
