Carbon Emission Sources at Events

Scope 1 – Direct Control

Company Facilities

·         Build Production

·         Energy

Company Vehicles

·         Company Staff Travel to and from event

·         Transport of Company Equipment to and from event

At the Event

·         On-site Generator / Plant Fuel

Scope 1 emissions for events are essentially the emissions that come directly from the event organiser's activities on-site and the vehicles they use.

 

Scope 2 - Indirect

·         Purchased Electricity at Venue (Light, Heat, Steam, Cooling etc.)

Including energy consumed by Lighting and Sound Systems, and any other Electrical Equipment in use at the event.

 

Scope 3 - Indirect

·         Any emissions not within Scope 1 or 2 boundaries

·         Attendee Travel to and from event

·         Attendee and Staff Accommodation

·         Catering

·         Company Employee Commuting

·         Any product bought, used or disposed of from the event supply chain.

·         End of Life Treatment of Sold Products

·         Waste

 

These Scopes will differ depending on the organisation that is reporting but for many this will be similar if the organisation is an Event Organiser or Production Company based in Wales.
