At Production 78 we have a proud history of creating environmentally sustainable events. We have held an ISO14001 Environmental Management certificate since 2012.
In more recent years we have begun investing in and creating more sustainable assets for our clients. These come in the form of Low Energy Products in our technical hire stock across the board, replacing single use set and decoration pieces with more re-useable items.
In 2024, we signed up to and made commitments under the Welsh Government's 'Green Growth Pledge'. This report plays a significant role in the next steps of the pledge, to enable us to benchmark carbon emissions of our current events. This will enable us to identify tools and processes that can be improved to reduce our carbon footprint in the coming years.
We have carried out this piece of research and development to better understand our business model, to identify areas for improvement, and to share the found knowledge with other industry professionals with a shared interest in protecting the planet for the climate emergency that currently exists.
We are pleased to share our experiences on our own Carbon Reduction Events Journey, and we welcome any comments or observations others may have on how things can be improved for the industry in Wales or more generally.
